Water is heated to steam vaporization and as the volume expands, the resulting pressure promotes the piston movement. This creates mechanical energy through the gear motor to generate electricity.

 

The use of the alcohol lamp allows heat to seal the water bucket. The water is heated, causing steam vaporization while the volume expands, resulting in pressure which catalyzes the piston movement. This generates mechanical energy and the flywheel creates steam to start the piston. The gear motor generates electricity.
